Mildura Business Excellence Awards - Tuesday, July 01, 2008Bidgee Finance has been honoured with a merit award at the recent Mildura Business Excellence Awards (BEAs). The merit award was received in the Service Professional category. This category had the most entrants for the night. Bidgee was anonymously nominated for the award.
The Powercor/PRIME Mildura BEAs celebrate the positive contribution of successful individuals, businesses and organistations across a range of sectors (within the local region). The prestigious event was hosted by Larry Emdur and is hosted every two years.
Bidgee's Managing Director said the award meant a lot to the staff. "It's a pleasing result considering the difficult times everyone is going through with the drought and subprime issues that have affected financial institutions like Bidgee. Bidgee is about providing professional service to our cutomers and I must praise the staff and thank them for their commitment to the business. It's great to see their outstanding work rewarded. We also congratulate the Bidgee clients who were also honoured on the night." Mr Hill said.

AIOP Breakfast - Tuesday, May 06, 2008

Bidgee Finance were the major sponsor at the recent annual breakfast meeting for the Australian Institute of Office Professionals (AIOP).
Over 140 people enjoyed a delightful breakfast whilst Brian Graetz, the Senior Program Manager for Beyond Blue, provided an informative and interesting insight into depression among Australian youth.

Bidgee Finance and MASP (Mallee Accommodation & Support Program) have joined forces to raise much needed funds for the local community.
MASP aims to alleviate problems such as homelessness, abuse and suffering for disadvantaged members of our community.
The first major event for the joint MASP/Bidgee team will be when the “Bidgee Blazers” compete in the Murray to Moyne Bike Ride in April 2008.

Bidgee Finance All Female Triathlon - Thursday, January 31, 2008

Each January, Bidgee Finance are the major sponsors of the "Bidgee Finance Ltd All Female Triathlon". The event is staged by the Coomealla Triathlon club at the Mildura Rowing Club Lawns and is a 200m swim, 6km cycle and 2km run.
A dedicated group of staff form the "Bidgee Belles" who compete in both team and individual events.
Participation was the theme of the morning and it was pleasing to note that many of the field were first-timers. Plenty of supporters came down to encourage the participants and a great time was had by all.
